Specials/Enrichment Programs
Wilmington Montessori School (WMS) students participate in a wide range of specials, enrichment and experiential learning programs that complement the Montessori classroom experience and support the development of the whole child.
Specialist-led classes broaden students’ education across all program levels and include Art, Spanish, Music, Maker Studio (STEAM*), Physical Education and Technology. These programs encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and hands-on exploration while reinforcing skills introduced in the classroom.
Beyond campus, students in the Primary, Elementary and Middle School programs engage in educational field trips that extend learning into the wider world. Experiences include an annual overnight trip for Upper Elementary (ages 9–12) students and a Middle School trip to New York City to participate in the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) conference.
WMS also offers after-school enrichment programs and specialty camps, providing additional opportunities for students to pursue interests, build skills, and explore new areas of learning in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.
