Specialty Camps and Programs
Wilmington Montessori School's Camp Montessori offers several Specialty Camps and programs (ages 6-14) throughout the summer for campers who want to focus on a particular area of interest. Campers can sign up to attend Core Camp in the morning with the larger camp group, and join a smaller group for their Specialty Camp in the afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m.
Archery I (ages 7-14) - July 12-16
Designed for campers who have not experienced archery or for those who want to brush up on their skills, this camp will focus on the basics of target shooting, equipment safety and time on the range. Archery camps are led by a certified instructor with more than five years of archery experience.
Archery II (ages 7-14) - August 9-13
Designed for campers who have completed at least one archery course (or some archery instruction), this camp will provide new challenges, including shooting targets at greater distances, learning trick shots and experimenting with other types of projectile launchers.
Literacy Camp (Individual 1:1)
Cost: $1,400 for 20 sessions (entire program)
Tutoring in reading, writing and reading comprehension is available for children of all ages. This program is designed to help students who need academic support over the summer months. Trish Harkins, a year-round instructional support specialist at Wilmington Montessori School, will tailor the curriculum to the student's needs.
