Week 6 (July 25-29)


The Best Pet Yet! (ages 4-6)
9 a.m.-noon

This fun, interactive music camp with veteran music educator Linda Bunting instills a love of music performance with its playful, colorful content. Its pet theme is reflected in crafts, snacks, games and musical theater numbers.

Earth Art (ages 5-8)
9 a.m.-noon

Nature is incredibly rich in color, texture, form and multi-functional design. Each day we’ll explore a new corner of our living campus, noticing and gathering, asking questions and finding answers. Our art projects will be inspired by our discoveries.

Games Galore (ages 6-9)
1-4 p.m.

Campers will learn a variety of board, card and strategy games. Led by WMS teacher Alyssa Novello, they will use games to develop problem-solving skills, math skills, collaboration and teamwork. By the end of the week we’ll also create our own games!


Week 7 (August 1-5)


Short Sports (ages 4-6)

Montessori teacher Wyatt Tolles leads this sports sampler for young athletes. Campers will hone basic skills including throwing, catching, kicking, passing and dribbling while learning sports terminology and some of the rules of soccer, baseball and basketball.

Watercolor Painting (ages 4-6)
9 a.m.-noon

It's exciting to watch children's pride and confidence grow when they see the beautiful results of their experiments with different watercolor techniques! Veteran teacher and professional artist Jeanne Orr will lead this romp through the world of color and design.

Cooking Around the World (ages 5-7)
1-4 p.m.

Join WMS teacher Alyssa Novello to learn about food and cooking from a variety of countries around the world.  Each day we will create at least one dish of our own inspired by what we learn!

Spanish By Nature  (ages 7-10)
1-4 p.m.

Ever-popular camp leader and high-school Spanish teacher Kevin DeCusatis will teach the Spanish language through nature study. This mixture of science, nature, language and culture will be the perfect recipe for learning and fun!

Advanced Scratch Programming  (ages 9-14)
9 a.m. -noon

Led by WMS Instructional Technology Coach Rose Feehan, this camp is designed to allow students who have already done some Scratch programming to stretch their skills and use more complex coding to design games and projects of their own.


Week 8 (August 8-12)

Dance Dream Discovery (for boys and girls ages 4-6)
9 a.m.-noon

This program is designed to tap into a young child’s natural desire to move, sing and make believe. Creative movement combines with stories, hands-on music making, cooperative games, crafts, and a variety of costumes and props. The week culminates with an informal performance for family and friends.


Adventures in Physical Science  (ages 5-8)
1-4 p.m.
$225

Join early childhood teacher Samantha Facciolo in using the whole campus as our laboratory! Campers will create and conduct experiments indoors and out, hypothesize, conclude and, of course, let those answers lead us to new questions.

Embroidery, Cross-Stitch & Sewing  (ages 8-14)
1-4 p.m.

Veteran teacher and professional artist Jeanne Orr will lead this exploration of a variety of needlework projects. Participants will end the week with a basket of new skills and beautiful fabric art that’s all their own.

Game Masters  (ages 9-14)
1-4 p.m.

Join Montessori teacher and game enthusiast Wyatt Tolles to improve your chess game and try your hand at a variety of other strategy games. It’s your turn!


Week 9 (August 15-19)

Hands-On Art History (ages 4-6)
9 a.m.-noon

You're never too young to begin to learn about some of the giants in art. What better way to do it then with exciting art projects inspired by some of the greats! Veteran teacher and professional artist Jeanne Orr will lead this adventure in learning and creativity.

Showstoppers, Jr. (ages 6-9)
1-4 p.m.

Do you feel the glow of the footlights? This musical theater performance workshop with WMS music teacher Heather Wadler will give campers the opportunity to act and sing, learning both ensemble and solo/duet pieces in preparation for a showcase at the end of the week. 

SuperCity LEGO (ages 7-10)
1-4 p.m.

What would a perfect city look like? In this building camp we will look at the problems we see in the design of cities we’ve known and figure out how to build a better one. We’ll brainstorm, problem-solve, look at some books about cities and get building!
