What does the Wilmington Montessori School Board of Directors do?
The WMS Board of Directors is responsible the well-being of the school, providing the expertise and vision to ensure the advancement of the school’s mission for future generations. The board establishes the school’s mission and vision, develops a strategic plan derived from that mission, formulates broad policy, employs the head of school and helps ensure the continuity of the founding vision and core values of the school.
What does this mean to me?
The goal of this section is to answer that question by giving a clear picture of the Board's current work.
The WMS Board of Directors strives to communicate openly and offer numerous opportunities for feedback and questions from the community. As our school song goes, “This school is your school,” and we want you to be involved every step of the way as we grow as a strong independent school offering exceptional Montessori education.
