Adopt-a-Book Program 2013-14

For the past several years, Wilmington Montessori School has asked parents to participate in a program to add much-needed books to our library collection. We call this ADOPT-A-BOOK.

Through the generosity of many school families, we now have a more contemporary collection of fiction and non-fiction. We have a "wish list" of books that both the faculty and librarian feel are needed for the continued improvement.

This year, we have chosen titles to enhance the major themes for the coming school year of the 5-7, 7-9 and 9-12 programs. There are some other titles included as well. The books are all $15. The list of titles, with a note about the book and the reading level or interest level, is posted below. In the past, we have had families adopt all the books on our list and have finished the program by mid-fall. Monetary donations to the library are welcome at any time and will be used, either as you direct, or at the discretion of the librarian.

To adopt your books, fill out the form and return it with a check made out to WMS Adopt-a-Book for the correct amount. We will not be able to fill your request without your check, and we will fill requests on a first-come basis. These are all good books, but some titles will be more popular than others so please list second and third choices. If you are making your selection later in the school year, please check with the librarian as to the availability of the listed titles, or simply mark the check WMS Library Donation. We will place a book plate with an inscription of your choice in the books and donors are thanked in the Wednesday Weekly.

Have a good summer and HAPPY READING,
Elizabeth Varley, Library Coordinator
